What is Katalis?
Katalis is an AI marketing manager for UK small businesses. She scores your business for free, drafts a month of posts and blogs for your business designed in your own brand, and puts each one live at a link you can share once you approve it. The Workshop also builds AI into the tools you already use. Katalis, the AI in the corner of every page, runs much of this site: the chat, the scoring, the watch and the monthly marketing. It's a live demo of what she does.
What can AI actually do for a small business?
The practical wins are usually the admin, not the magic: answering the same customer questions 24/7, taking bookings and cutting no-shows, drafting quotes and replies, chasing invoices, and turning notes or reviews into actions. We only put AI where it saves you real time or money.
Is my data safe?
It's the thing most owners worry about, and rightly. Where it matters we can build private setups so nothing sensitive leaves your business, and we always tell you where your data goes before anything goes live.
Will AI replace my staff?
That's not the aim, and it rarely plays out that way. AI takes the repetitive grind so your people can do the human work that actually needs them. Most small businesses free their team up rather than cut it.
Do I need to be technical?
Not at all. We do the hard part and teach your team the easy part — no computer science degree required.
How much does it cost?
The free tools cost nothing, and membership prices are published from £24.95/month, VAT included. Workshop work — builds, training, consultancy — is shaped and priced per job, because every build is different: describe the job to Katalis and she'll give you an honest estimate in the chat, then a person puts the real quote together.

Membership
What does membership actually do?
A free account (an email and a mobile, no card) tracks your Business Score monthly with history and comes with 100 tokens to try things. Paid membership adds the always-on watch (your site checked daily; tenders, directors' ID and AI visibility on the rhythm you choose) and, each month, Katalis plans what's best for your business, writes and designs each piece in your brand for your approval, and puts it live at its own link when you say yes.
How do tokens work?
Each plan is a monthly allowance of tokens: Starter 1,000, Standard 2,500, Elite 6,000. Everything Katalis writes, designs, checks and watches for you draws from it, and you see an estimate before each job. The watch's small share is set aside first, so it never stops mid-month. Each month's tokens last two months (the oldest are used first). Run low and members top up at the plan's own rate (Starter 40, Standard 50, Elite 60 tokens per £1), any amount from £5, any time; bought tokens never expire. If you run out, Katalis keeps answering on a lighter setting until it renews or you top up, but makes nothing new until there are tokens again.
What does each plan cost, and is VAT included?
Free: £0. Starter: £24.95 a month or £249 a year, 1,000 tokens, one business. Standard: £49.95 a month or £499 a year, 2,500 tokens, one business, with everything unlocked: the whole effects library, your own effects, and effects on your own website. Elite: £99.95 a month or £999 a year, 6,000 tokens, up to 3 businesses sharing one allowance. Every price includes VAT: what's advertised is what's charged. More than 3 businesses is a Custom account, by conversation.
Can I cancel? Is there a contract?
No contract and no notice period. Cancel any time from Account, Plan & billing, and your membership runs to the end of the month or year you've paid for; everything you've made stays in your account. A started period isn't refunded. It's a subscription, not a contract: if a renewal payment doesn't go through, the membership ends that day and nothing is charged for the new period. You can rejoin any time.
What happens if I upgrade, or move to a smaller plan?
Upgrading starts a new month on the bigger plan from that day, and the unused part of your current month comes off the price; you see the exact sum before you confirm. A smaller plan takes effect from your next billing date, so you keep what you've paid for.
Does my month start on the 1st?
No. Your month runs from the day you pay, and renews on that day. Katalis plans and counts by your month, not the calendar's.
Which AI writes for me?
Your choice, on any paid plan: Quick uses GPT-4o mini, Good (the default) uses Claude Sonnet 5.5, and Best uses Claude Opus 5.5 with a deeper second pass on blogs. A better quality simply uses more of your allowance, and you see the estimate first. A free account uses the lightest model.
How do I sign in?
With your email and your mobile: we email you a link, and the first time we text your mobile a code. No password. A paid membership is on the email you paid with.
