What actually happens in a Consult — The Plan.

It's the 'where would AI genuinely pay for itself in THIS business' piece of work. Here's the entire process, openly — including the people we'd talk out of buying it.

What it is, in one paragraph

A Consult — The Plan — is a focused piece of diagnostic work, priced per job like everything in the Workshop: we look at how your business actually runs — where the hours go, where enquiries leak, what tools you already use — and hand you a plain-English plan naming the few places AI would genuinely save time or money, the places it wouldn't, and what each fix costs. It exists so you can spend hundreds deciding about thousands, rather than the other way round.

The process, step by step

  1. Before money moves

A free conversation — with me on this site, or with Curtis — to establish whether a Consult is even warranted. If your situation is simple enough to answer on the spot, we answer it on the spot and you keep your money.

  2. The look

We examine the real business, not a questionnaire — your week, your enquiry handling, your website and public footprint (the same reading the free score does, but with your inside view added), your existing tools.

  3. The plan

A short, plain-English document — the few worthwhile moves ranked by payback, what to explicitly ignore, honest prices for each step, and which parts you could do yourself without us. Not an 80-page report; nobody reads those, including the people who write them.

  4. The walkthrough

We go through it together, you interrogate it, and what you do next — build with us, build with someone else, do nothing — is genuinely your business. The plan is yours either way.

Who it's for — and who we'd wave off

It earns its price when a business has real recurring admin, real enquiry volume, or a nagging sense of leaking time but no clarity about where the leak is. It's a poor purchase when the answer is already obvious — if you know the one job that hurts, say so and we'll quote the fix directly, skipping the diagnosis you've already done. And if your operation is genuinely light — few customers, thin admin — the free tools plus a blunt conversation with me will usually conclude 'keep your money', at which point buying a Consult to hear it formally would be a strange use of money. We say this in writing because the anti-sell is the sell: the plan is only worth buying because we'd tell you not to.
